EVANGELISTIC OUTREACH

Mission Statement: Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results to God.

The Evangelistic Outreach ministry goes out and witness to the lost, hurting, and confused in the community of Warner Robins every 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.  It plays a vital role within the body of Christ and is always in need of more willing servants; true is God’s word which says the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.  Every born again believer must heed the command of our Savior to go into all nations teaching and spreading the gospel.

NURSING HOME MINISTRY

Mission Statement: This is a special ministry full of compassion and grace for those who are now living in nursing homes. This team makes monthly, one-on-one visits to former members and friends of First Baptist Church to encourage, pray, and help keep them connected to life at God’s church in whatever way possible.
It is our privilege as members of the First Baptist Church Nursery Ministry to minister at 2 different nursing homes in the Warner Robins area on a regular basis. We view this ministry as a vital part of our churches over all responsibility. Many of these seniors are not able to attend a local church. For many, these Sunday afternoons are the only church experience they get.  We encourage them with singing, fellowship and by sharing God's Word. There is always room for any believer in Christ to take part in this ministry and become a blessing to those who are often forgotten by their own family members and church.

REGIONAL YOUTH DETENTION CENTER (RYDC)

Mission Statement: Taking the truth of God’s word to youth who are struggling, and hurting both emotionally and spiritually.

First Baptist Church is but one church, of several, that make monthly sojourns to the local youth detention facility located here in Houston County. These young people need JESUS, and we provide a program of praise, worship and teaching, that has brought many to the Lord. If you would like to join us as we minister to these young people, call the church office @478-923-2279 or our ministry leader.

PRISON MINISTRY

Mission Statement: To spread the gospel of Jesus through resources provided by First Baptist Church and bridge the gap between the local church and the church body behind prison walls through the establishment of Godly relationships for the purpose of disciple making.

Visiting Christian men or women in prison requires a significant commitment. To identify with them in a personal way involves laying aside one's preconceived ideas and prejudices and seeing them through the eyes of Christ--it requires a relationship.  FBC Prison Ministry is bringing the Word of God and love of Christ into the prisons in the greater Middle-Georgia area.  We have the privilege of seeing the love of Jesus Christ work in those who come to hear the Word of God.  Our ultimate mission is to shine the light of the Gospel behind the dark walls of prison.  To get involved with this worthy cause please contact the ministry leader as soon as possible to obtain a prison ministry pass.
